Apollo XR developed a custom immersive VR game experience for Hyundai as part of the third edition of the İstanbul Coffee Festival, held at KüçükÇiftlik Park in the heart of Istanbul.
Designed specifically for a high-volume public festival environment, the project transformed conventional brand activation into an interactive and memorable virtual experience.
Titled “Find the Hyundai Container,” the experience invited participants into a gamified virtual environment where spatial awareness, memory, and interaction became central elements of the journey. Equipped with VR headsets and handheld controllers, participants navigated through a virtual container maze within a limited timeframe, following coffee beans, overcoming obstacles, and tracking visual cues throughout the experience.
As participants progressed through the maze, they encountered colored symbols and interactive challenges designed to enhance engagement and attention. At the final stage, users were required to identify the correct container based on the sequence and color combinations they had encountered during gameplay. Successfully selecting the correct container revealed a Hyundai-branded vehicle within the virtual environment, completing the first stage of the activation.
The VR experience was designed not only as a game, but also as a multi-layered brand interaction system connecting digital immersion with physical participation. Participants who completed the VR challenge earned access to a Hyundai Tucson test-drive experience, extending the interaction from virtual space into the real world. Following the test drive, visitors received Google Cardboard VR headsets as part of the festival activation.
By combining immersive technologies, interactive storytelling, and experiential game design, Apollo XR created a public-facing VR installation that strengthened audience participation while offering an accessible introduction to virtual reality technologies. The project demonstrates how immersive media can transform branded environments into engaging experiential platforms that encourage exploration, interaction, and memorable audience connections.
